• It is located 64 miles west of Chicago
• It is roughly 14 square miles
• It is the birth place of Barbed wire
• It is the home of Northern Illinois University ( Go Huskies!)
• It has a roller derby team
• Almost half it's population are college students
• It does not have a LDS meeting house ( there is one located in the neighboring town)
• It has overpriced preschools
• The average low in January is 15 degrees and it has light to moderate snowfall
• It is going to be our home for the next three years!
