Remembering

It has only been a week since we had to say goodbye to our Angel Ruth, but is seems like it has been a lifetime. I have been trying to stay focused and positive. I actually went for a job interview last Wednesday and was officially offered the job today. I will be working part time as a school nurse at a residential treatment facility. I hope a change of scene and a new routine will help in the healing process. This Saturday the family that lives here will be gathering for a small memorial service. We will be having a balloon release at 5:30 Utah time. We would love it if you would join us in remembering Ruth by taking a moment of silence or saying a prayer at this time,if you are able. I know that it will take time for the pain in my heart to heal and I know that there will always be an ache for my baby but everyday gets a little easier. Poetry has really helped me cope this last week. I have been working on my own but an not yet ready to share that work. I know I shared a poem last week, but here is another one that has helped heal the pain.
Baby Angel
Don't let them say I wasn't born,That something stopped my heart,
I felt each tender squeeze you gave,I've loved you from the start.
Although my body you can't hold,It doesn't mean I'm gone,
This world was worthy, not, of me,God chose that I move on.
I know the pain that drowns your soul,What you are forced to face,
You have my word, I'll fill your arms,Someday we will embrace.
You'll hear that it was "meant to be God doesn't make mistakes",
But that won't soften your worst blow,Or make your hearts not ache.
I'm watching over all you do,Another child you'll bear,
Believe me when I say to you,That I am always there.
There'll come a time, I promise you,When you will hold my hand,
Stroke my face and kiss my lips,And then you'll understand.
Although I've never breathed your air,Or gazed into your eyes,
That doesn't mean I never "was"
An angel never dies...

I am so sorry for your loss. I can empathize as I lost a baby boy at 19 weeks, and have had 5 more around 12 weeks. It is painful. I hope that you can feel peace and eventually enjoy another baby to come in the future.
